The 17 year old student at a sports high school in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, is a peer educator for the YMI - Young Men Initiative, the youth project of CARE Austria and the Austrian Development Agency. She discusses how her participation in the project has changed her, why she initially felt out of place, the importance of mutual acceptance among young people, the differences between her generation and that of her parents, her thoughts on the war in Ukraine, the valuable exchange among young people from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, North Macedonia, Kosovo, and Albania at the summer camp, the gender gap in sports, the topics she addresses as a peer educator and why this youth project should actually be a permanent school project.
